Topics include (depending on timeallotted): - intro to networked games technology - the challenges of networkedgames - QoS/QoE - traffic analysis and measurements - transport protocols andperformance, cloud gaming. Magda El Zarki教授简历：MagdaEl Zarki received the B.E.E. from Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt in 1979 andM.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University, NewYork City, NY in 1981 and 1987 respectively with a two year breakfrom 1981 -1983 when she worked as a network planner in the internationaltelecommunications department at Citibank, N.N., NYC, NY.MagdaEl Zarki currently holds the position of Professor in the Department ofComputer Science at the University of California, Irvine, where she is involvedin various research activities related to telecommunication networks andnetworked computer games. She is currently the Director of the Institute ofVirtual Environments and Computer Games and was the co-creator of the ComputerGame Science Degree program which she directed for the first 2 years. Prior to joining UC, Irvine, she was anAssociate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at theUniversity of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia where she also held the position ofDirector of the Telecommunications Program. She was director of the NetworkedSystems Graduate Program at UC, Irvine from 2005 – 2007. From 1992 – 1996 sheheld the position of Professor of Telecommunications at the TechnicalUniversity of Delft, Delft, The Netherlands. She was the recipient of the CorWit Chair in Telecommunications at TU Delft from 2004 – 2006.Ms.El Zarki is an editor for several journals in the telecommunications area, andis actively involved in many international conferences. She was on the board ofgovernors of the IEEE Communications society and was the vice chair of the IEEETech. Committee for Computer Communications.
