You are more affected by solar eclipses than lunar ones, because the Sun rules Leo. Cancer rules your twelfth house of hidden information and of things going on out of the spotlight offstage, so this eclipse seems to emphasize private matters and things you do in confidence that you want to keep away from prying eyes. It is not only secrets that you keep to yourself that will be under scrutiny, but also secrets other people keep from you. Eclipses tend to expose both. If you need to keep something hidden, you'll have to be doubly careful this month, as eclipses will force things out into the open. The solar twelfth house is called a "cadent" house, which means it's weaker than some of the other houses - good news for you, for this all means you may not feel too many dramatic events from this eclipse. Still, the job of an eclipse is to expose information that will be important to know about, for once you have it, you can protect yourself. The problem with this eclipse is that it brings with it so many planets that will not cooperate with each other, and they will add tension and even shocking developments. Key planets will form a near-perfect cardinal cross and that concerns me. In order to have a cardinal cross, you need at least one heavenly body in each one of the four cardinal signs - Aries, Libra, Cancer, and Capricorn - and remarkably, we have that now, on July 1. Each planet must also be within a few degrees of a 90 or 180-degree angle of the other - and again, we have that now, too. Getting all those qualifiers with four big planets of different orbits is hard, and yet we have that now. Cardinal crosses are tension producing, and any assault on the Sun (and here we have three planets coming from different directions toward the Sun) spells pressure for you because the Sun is your ruler and guardian planet. In a sense the Sun represents "you" and your interests in a chart. Pluto will aim his energy against the Sun and moon, Saturn will oppose Uranus, Saturn will be in very hard angle to Pluto, Uranus will be in hard angle to Pluto, Saturn and Uranus both will be in hard angle to the new moon and Sun, and coming at the Sun and new moon from doors 180 degrees apart. A new moon opens a path, so you would not wrap up things for some time - full moons do that. Apparently it would take time to resolve any situation that does come up now - your chart suggests it could go on for six months, until January 9, 2012.
