Dr. Mingrui Liu is an Assistant Professor at Computer Science Department at George Mason University (GMU). My research interests include machine learning, deep learning, optimization, and etc., and I have published papers on many top machine learning conferences (e.g., NeurlPS, ICML, ICLR) and journals (e.g., JMLR). My research goal is to design provably efficient algorithms for machine learning problems with strong empirical performance. Now I am looking for self-motivated graduate students to join in my research group to conduct research in machine learning and optimization, starting from Spring 2022/Fall 2022. All admitted PhD students will receive teaching or research assistantships that fully cover tuition and additionally provide a stipend for living expenses.
