☆─────────────────────────────────────☆ LiPb (继续作evil翅膀上的羽毛) 于 (Mon Sep 17 20:19:19 2007) 提到: 来自奇客和英文官网的消息，感谢sshnuke： James Oliver Rigney Jr，长篇系列奇幻小说《时光之轮》（The Wheel of Time）的作者，以笔名Robert Jordan闻名于世，于2007年9月16日下午2时去世，死因为心脏淀粉样变性病（cardiac amyloidosis）。 Jordan在2006年3月公布了医生诊断的结果，发誓要与顽疾作抗战。但是决心和进取心在疾病面前是远远不够的。去世之前Robert Jordan正在书写第十二部也是最后一部《时光之轮》系列—《光之记忆》（A Memory of Light），按照计划，这本书将在2009年出版，目前仍没有完成。但已备有笔记和录音，作者已经口授所有故事情节。英文最后一卷基本仍会被整理出版。时光的中文版也会继续出。只要能坚持，我希望大陆能出完。因为这是一部如此经典的奇幻作品。 Deepest condolences to everyone involved. RJ left us today at 2:45 PM. He fought a valiant fight against this most horrid disease. In the end, he left peacefully and in no pain. In the years he had fought this, he taught me much about living and about facing death. He never waivered in his faith, nor questioned our God’s timing. I could not possibly be more proud of anyone. I am eternally grateful for the time that I had with him on this earth and look forward to our reunion, though as I told him this afternoon, not yet. I love you bubba. Our beloved Harriet was at his side through the entire fight and to the end. The last words from his mouth were to tell her that he loved her. Thank each and everyone of you for your prayers and support through this ordeal. He knew you were there. Harriet reminded him today that she was very proud of the many lives he had touched through his work. We’ve all felt the love that you’ve been sending my brother/cousin. Please keep it coming as our Harriet could use the support. Jason will be posting funeral arrangements. My sincerest thanks.
