欢迎报考北邮网络与交换国家重点实验室宽带网研究中心马建老师硕士/博士研究生 We are looking for talented and motivated graduate and undergraduate students to join our research programs. Currently, there are two NSFC projects, two 863 projects undertaken by the research group of Prof. Ma, and multiple research projects available in Nokia Research Center Beijing directed by Prof. Ma. The motivated and qualified students will have opportunities as full-time interns working with Nokia experts in Nokia Research Center (Beijing). His graduates are now working in known universities, corporations including Nokia, Nokia Siemens Networks, IBM, Agilent, Symantec, Alcatel-Lucent, China Mobile, China Unicom, etc. His current research interests are mobile enabled wireless sensor network (mWSN),Internet of things (IOT) and its applications and services, context-aware computing, ubiquitous reality search, mobile services, etc. Here,the potential research topics may include, but are not limited to, sensor signal processing, time series/stream analysis, data mining and machine learning, sensor data fusion, context retrieval, context modeling and management, efficient data dissemination algorithm and system approaches, and mobile application development. Preference: 1) Preference will be given to those who have programming experiences; 2) Preference will be given to those who major in Computer Science, and have Good GPA; 3) For the PhD applicant, strong motivation to obtain the PhD degree in Computer Science within 3 years. Jian Ma ( http://research.nokia.com/people/jian_j_ma/index.html) who is voted as “luminary of BUPT”(See http://baike.baidu.com/view/2465183.htm) received his Bachelor and Master of Telecommunication Engineering from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and Ph.D. of Communication Technology from Helsinki University of Technology. Since August 1994, he has been working for Nokia Research Center. He is presently a Principal Member of Research Staff at Nokia Research Center Beijing. He is also a guest professor in Computer Science in BUPT, BUAA, CCCE-GUCAS, ICT-CAS and Tongji University. He authored and co-authored more than 160 conference and journal papers, and 4 books and book chapters. He has a dozen of patents granted and tens of patent applications. He has also been serving numerous co-chairs and members of organization committees or program committees in several leading conferences like ICDCS, WWW, ICC, PIMRC, AINA and ChinaCom, etc.
