Have you detailed the background of your questions/points so that your supervisor do NOT need to question your position? 1) For example, you meet with a tough techniques and you haven't conquered it until your meeting 2) You have devoted yourself and tried several ways to solve it 3) Then, you SHOULD start this topic with: a) I have tried way 1, failed b) I have tried way 2, failed c) I have tried way 3, failed d) I am going to try … 2. Have you made your questions/points clear enough so that your supervisor can understand you without big misconception? 1) Have you prepared to focus on your work/topic in your meeting instead of complaining? 2) Have you prepared your work/topic with 5W2H? 3) Have you got any idea about WHAT KIND OF SUPPORTS YOUR SUPERVISOR CAN GIVE TO YOU ? a) Drive your supervisor rather than vice versa b) Compete for your supervisor's time against other people 4 How do you implement the above idea?
