New data mining and machine learning techniques can help us discover high-quality knowledge from data. Cloud computing techniques can support complex knowledge discovery jobs by managing processing the large-scale data efficiently. The theme of IIMM this year will be ‘How data make our daily life and industry intelligent’. Of particular interest are novel methods for discovering knowledge from large-scale data and novel designs for applying data intelligence. However, papers on all aspects of the data management, data mining, machine learning, and cloud computing will be solicited. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to): * Novel data mining algorithms and foundations * Innovative applications of data mining * Data mining and KDD systems and frameworks * Mining data streams and sensor data * Mining multi-media, graph, spatio-temporal and semi-structured data * High performance and parallel/distributed data mining * Visual data mining and data visualization * Data privacy and security * Data quality, cleaning and lineage * Data warehousing * Managing uncertain, imprecise and inconsistent information * Parallel, distributed and cloud-based databases * Personalized information systems * New data management architectures * Categorization, clustering, and filtering * Information extraction and summarization * Social network analysis * Digital image processing * Video image processing =================== Important Dates =================== Paper submission due: May 10, 2015 Author notification: June 1, 2015 Camera Ready due: June 15, 2015 Conference: August 10, 2015 ========================== Submission Instructions ========================== Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished research papers that are not being considered for publication in any other forum. Papers must follow the IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Manuscript Formatting Guidelines, using one of the templates provided at http://www.computer.org/portal/web/cscps/formatting for Word and LaTeX. The font size, margins, inter-column spacing, and line spacing in the templates must be kept unchanged. Papers submitted cannot exceed six pages in length, including reference and appendix. Up to 2 extra pages may be purchased at $50 (US dollars) per extra page. Each submission should be regarded as an undertaking that, if the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors must register for the workshop and attend the workshop to present the work in order for the paper to be included in the IEEE Digital Library. Accepted papers will be published in proceedings of the CBD 2015 conference. Best papers will be recommended to the special issues of the IJBDI (International Journal of Big Data Intelligence) or the IJGHPC (International Journal of Grid and High Performance Computing). IEEE CBD 2015 proceedings will be submitted for publication in IEEE Computer Society Digital Library (IEEE CSDL) and in IEEE Xplore [1]. Proceedings will be submitted for EI indexing [2]. Extended versions of selected best papers will be considered for publication in special issues of several SCI-indexed international journals. [1] While all conferences sponsored by the IEEE and/or published by CPS will be submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore and the CSDL, all conference proceedings must meet IEEE's quality standards, and IEEE reserves the right not to publish any proceedings that do not meet these standards. [2] The IEEE cannot guarantee that any particular abstract or index entry will be included in EI Compendex or any other indexing service. IEEE makes its best efforts to ensure indexing, but the indexing services are independent organizations not subject to IEEE control.
