Research Staff Member in 3GPP LTE-Advanced

Report to the Department Head of Wireless Communications
* Responsibilities:
(1) Conduct R&D in wireless communications (especially LTE-advanced)
Specific topics include MIMO, beamforming, OFDM/OFDMA,
SC-FDMA, CoMP (coordinated multi-point), relay, channel coding,
multi-user scheduling, radios resource management, cross-layer
optimization in 4G areas, especially LTE-advanced.
(2) Contribute to standardization (international & domestic)
Candidates are expected to make technical contributions to the international
standardization, e.g., 3GPP LTE / LTE-advanced & IEEE, and domestic
standardization in China.
(3) Apply for IPR and publish research paper
Candidates are expected to apply for international or domestic patents,
publish research papers in prestigious conferences and journals.
* Requirements:
(1) Ph.D. or M.S. degree in EE (electrical engineering), CS (computer science) or related areas
Candidates with 3~5 years of working experience in industry
are particularly encouraged to apply for this position.
(2) Solid background in wireless communications & networking
Solid background in wireless communications and networking is required.
Specifically, expertise in one or more of the following areas:
3GPP LTE / LTE-advanced, WLAN (802.11), WiMAX (802.16),
is preferred.
(3) Creative & Self-motivated
(4) Good records of publication, patents & contributions to international standardization
(5) Excellent programming skills in C/C++, Matlab or OPNET
(6) Good understanding of SLS (system level simulation) and LLS (link level simulation)
(7) Fluency in English is a must
Working language is English.
