返回信息流PhD Positions in the areas of Wireless Communications, Data Science, and Autonomous Systems
Description: Two full-time research positions are available at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS). Self-motivated students with solid background in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science are encouraged to apply. Selected applicants will join the Mobile Systems, Intelligent Networks, and Data Science (MINDS) Laboratory (Directed by Dr. Omid Semiari) as graduate research assistants (GRAs) and will pursue a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering. The areas of research are at the intersections of wireless communications (5G system and beyond), autonomous vehicles, millimeter wave communications, wireless extended reality, and machine learning. The positions include tuition waiver and monthly stipend.
Responsibilities: Students are expected to conduct an independent research and be able to publish their results in prestigious IEEE/ACM conferences and journals.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
Solid analytical background.
Strong communications skills.
Programming in MATLAB or Python.
Preferred Qualifications:
Research experience and publication record.
Background in optimization theory, control theory, reinforcement learning, and game theory.
Background in communication systems (PHY/MAC layer, performance analysis, etc.).
Experience in testbed development or working with network simulators.
Starting Date: Fall 2019 or Spring 2020
