This opportunity is ideal for an equity research professional who has 1-2 years of experience and is interested in working with top tier investment banking client. Responsibilities - Supporting the equity research arm of a global investment bank client to develop insightful understanding of investment target and its industry, including critical industry or market analyses, competitive benchmarking, opportunity assessments, and risk identification through in-depth primary and secondary research - Building detailed financial models for companies under coverage - Creating equity research notes and presentations that include analysis of economic and business cycles, industry value chain, market size, market segments, market shares, market drivers, market trends, products and services - Meeting with the management of companies under coverage, attending quarterly results conference calls, issuing quarterly result update reports, tracking company and sector developments and initiating coverage on uncovered stocks - Performing financial analyses including financial statement analysis and valuation using various techniques including DCF, SOTP, residual value and multiples approach - Discussing results and analysis with buy side clients as well as answering any queries they might have - Coordinating with client sales team on client pitches and relationship maintenance Qualifications - Native Chinese with strong command over Japanese and English - Prior 1+ years of experience in equity research or investment banking in China or abroad with a focus on Asia Pacific; have a good understanding of Japanese market preferred; excellent fresh graduates can also be considered - Strong analytical and problem solving skills - Solid report writing and communication skills - Ability to work effectively under time-sensitive environment - Be able to take responsibility - Experienced in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word - Financial modeling - Excellent academic track record Location: Beijing Compensation: Competitive, commensurate with experience How to Apply: Please send your CV and cover letter (Chinese and English) to xicong_fang@copalamba.net with the subject heading “Recruitment - Japanese Analyst - Your Name” Personal data collected will be used for recruitment purposes only.
