用歌声伴随生活 -北邮校长林金桐演讲录用歌声伴随生活 ──爱尔兰国家合唱团—北邮爱乐合唱团音乐会祝辞 2004-5-27 尊敬的普荣丁斯基校长，尊敬的爱尔兰贵宾，亲爱的同学们，晚上好！对于中国的大学来说，五月是鲜花和歌声的时节。而今年，北京邮电大学的五月，因为爱尔兰国家室内合唱团的到来更加增添了几分古典音乐的高雅；也因为都柏林城市大学贵宾的到来而变成了友谊的海洋。看一看舞台的天幕，上面书写着2000年前中国哲学家、教育家孔夫子语录“有朋自远方来，不亦悦乎？”那是北邮学生用自己的心灵创作的舞台美术，它表达我们全校师生对爱尔兰客人的真诚情感。读一读北京邮电大学和都柏林城市大学刚才签订的合作协议，北邮的学生和教师知道，从今天开始，北邮将会有一批又一批的学生前往都柏林城市大学留学，将会有一个又一个教师前往访问进修；同时，也将接待一组又一组的爱尔兰大学生和教师来到北邮校园，与我们朝夕相伴。女士们、先生们，尽管这个世界的一些角落还有着炸弹和恐怖，还有着争斗和虐待，但是，我们两所大学，她们的师生和校长，热切希望整个世界都能够像我们这样合作进步，像我们这样用歌声伴随生活，有鲜花铺满校园。谢谢！！（校办注：林校长祝词原为英语，原稿附在后面） Accompanying Our Life with Songs and Lyrics ——at the concert of National Chamber Choir of Ireland and BUPT Students’ Harmonic Choir Good evening, honorable president and distinguished guests, dear students: May of the year at Chinese universities is always the season of flowers and songs. While this May has been flavored with the elegance of classical music with the presence of National Chamber Choir of Ireland (NCC) at BUPT. The auditorium tonight, as you have seen, is overflowing with friendship thanks to the distinguished guests from Dublin City University (DCU). My friends, you must have found it written on the backdrop of the stage: “Isn’t it a delight after all to have friends coming from afar”. It’s a quotation from Confucius, who was a great philosopher and educator in China 2,000 years ago. This artistic design is the true expression flowing from the bottom of the hearts of BUPT students. I believe that the friendship conveyed by BUPT students can easily be felt by our honorable guests coming from afar. Now with the presence of your witness at this special moment, BUPT and DCU have signed the agreement, which marks the beginning of the substantial cooperation between the two universities. From today on, group after group of students from BUPT will go to study in DCU and one after another teacher will take their academic visiting tours. At the same time, team after team of students from Ireland will come to this university, studying with the Chinese students. They will enjoy the campus life together and I hope they will enjoy the flowers and songs together at the same time. Ladies and gentlemen, in today’s world we still find bombs and terrors, conflicts and abuses existing in some regions, but I firmly believe that at these two universities, the presidents and teachers and students as well do wish that this world should: make advancement hand in hand just as we do; have every corner full of flowers just as we smell; accompany the life with songs and lyrics just as we are going to sing.
