It is almost as if September were two different months, with the sunny phase coming in the first 23 days, and then, as you get deeper into the second half, most noticeably after September 24, gale force winds will show up and keep blowing through the middle of October. The universe will be speaking especially loudly and clearly this month, so it won't be a challenge to try to figure out what it is trying to say. Usually when I write a report for you, I go through the month chronologically, but this time I want to address the difficulties of September's last week first. Those will extend into the first half of September. They have to do with your emotional life - your relationship with a lover or friend, or will have to do with a concern you have over one of your children or regarding a pregnancy. Your first indication that something will be "up" will arrive at the opposition of Uranus and the Sun, on Sunday, September 25 plus or minus one day. Something seems suddenly amiss. A casual comment or news may come out of the blue and knock you sideways. It could be that a friend makes an out-of-character comment, or it may be that a lover reveals something, or that you discover something about a lover that you were never told. There are many possible manifestations, but they are all ones that are jarring in some way. If you are married - therefore not dating - one of your children may suddenly ask you for money, or if your child is small, need special lessons from a tutor. There are many possible examples, and those are only a few. The new moon will arrive two days later, September 27, in your house of true love at 4 degrees Libra. Several planets will accompany that new moon and Sun, including Mercury (now moving direct, no longer retrograde), Venus, and Saturn. Mercury, your ruler, opposed Uranus the day before, September 26, and the new moon will also oppose Uranus and be in difficult square angle to Pluto, now in your money-oriented eighth house. On September 28, Venus and Mercury will send a glare to Pluto with their square aspects. Saturn will conjoin the moon, adding a deflating, possibly depressing note. On September 29, Venus will conjoin Saturn, so duty will come first, and pleasures have to be set aside. What a string of difficult aspects. A new moon calls for a fresh start in the six months to a year that follows it and sets up a trend; however, this new moon comes packed with difficult aspects for the emotional side of life. How things play out depends on what you decide to do in the two weeks following the new moon of September 27. I should add that the full moon of October 10, falling in your friendship sector, won't be a sweetheart full moon either - tensions with a friend may run high, or you may have to delay having or experiencing something you want dearly at that time. The Sun, under siege in the last week of September, also rules your sister or brother, so I should add that this individual might be another probable suspect for causing tension at the end of September. (If this person is a Libra or Aries, double what I just said - that sign would be cranky.) At the end of September and in the first two weeks of October you will need to force yourself to be objective and practical, for the universe at this time will allow no room for wishful thinking. As a Gemini, you are that way naturally, but you will have to make a conscious effort to remain that way. Certain situations have to be faced head-on and acknowledged, and there will be no getting around that. If you discover something that upsets you about the person you are dating, you probably need to realize no one can change his or her basic nature. It may be time to leave, and that can be a heartbreaking option. Still, if you are truly in love and you are getting your love returned and respected, you may now promise exclusivity to one another, or get engaged. This week may mark your actual marriage, although that seems more likely to be in December. Continuing the same way as you have so far seems less likely - you will need to make a promise. If one of you wants things to stay the same, the relationship will likely end for lack of growth, sooner or later, in the latter case, by the time the eclipses are out of Gemini-Sagittarius, in early 2013. With Saturn so prominent this month, anything you pledge will be in place a long time, and you won't be able to easily change things later. Be sure you want to make the promise that you do. At the same time, a friend appears may be volatile and difficult, or on the other hand, be facing a crisis of his or her own, and may need your help. In any case, a friend or a sibling may be the source of much of the tension you feel at this point in the year. Saturn, in opposition to that full moon of October 11, usually asks for sacrifice, so you may have to give up something you want to benefit your child or someone else you love. If a sudden pregnancy comes up, you may make the decision to have the baby. In that case, most people feel giving up material things to have a baby is well worth the trade, of course. This question could come up as early as late September. Certainly in late September, when it comes to a child, pregnancy, sibling, social event, travel, or an emotional attachment to a lover or friend - most likely one of these will be an area of tension - money seems to enter into the equation and could become a factor that concerns you. You seem to have to write a check, and certainly you will see the necessity to do so, but it is not easy because you seem to be running tight on money. That would be a temporary situation, but nevertheless, at the end of September, it triggers a meditation on what you can and can't afford these days. If you have a line of credit, you may be accessing cash from it now. Still, although there will be enough news to jar you at the end of September, there will be some happy areas to mitigate this string of challenging days, and depending on your own natal chart, you may have reason to celebrate. Certainly if you get engaged, that would be a good example of happy news. There is ample reason to believe you can handle all that you face this month. Five heavenly bodies in Libra, plus one - Neptune - in air sign Aquarius, plus Mars (after September 18) in fire sign Leo, equal seven planets in compatible elements to yours that will staunchly support your Gemini sun. That's quite a lot of help - 7 out of 10 heavenly bodies - so you may actually find ways to stabilize and improve your life now and in months to come. By the end of October you'll be in a whole different place of the mind and heart. Now let's turn to the fun part of the month, concerning your home, other real estate, and/or a parent. For this discussion, we must return to the new moon that took place just days prior to the start of September, on August 28. That new moon of August 28 is as dazzling and beautiful as any new moon you could ever wish to see. It will still be strong as you enter September, and it is, quite simply, my favorite new moon of the year. Name your home-related wishes, dear Gemini, for they are about to come true. This new moon, along with the Sun and Venus, all in Virgo, sent a shimmering beam to Pluto in Capricorn, now in your eighth house of "other people's money" and to Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, now in Taurus, ruling the land and real estate. Don't think, "That happened at the end of August and now it is over." No, no, a new moon has the power to bring changes for a full year into the future, until the next one comes to replenish the energy of this one. It's THAT powerful. If you need a mortgage or home improvement loan, it's there for you if you ask for one. Make your application from September 1-9, but the earlier in that time frame you fill out your application, the better. This new moon is encouraging you to start planning where you'd like to live and in what style and manner. All sorts of domestic changes will be possible now, from those on a small scale, such as to reorganize your space, or buy new glassware and dishes, or make large improvements, including a renovation to your kitchen, or to call in the painters to do your whole apartment, or to move to a new address. If you have been worried about the health of your mother, or hope to help your father pay bills and balance his checkbook, you can find solutions that seem especially right at long last. If your mother has been sick, for example, you may see that she makes a big turn for the better from now on. All home and family matters will improve from now on, for Jupiter, Pluto, the Sun, new moon, and Venus will all be in tight agreement, forming a golden triangle in the sky, so all home and family matters are due for a big push forward. Watch in particular September 2, when Jupiter will send a lovely beam to the Sun and help you with these very matters. Give this date one day on either side - a perfect time to take action on any home-related front. It's possible that you have a long wish list when it comes to settling home and family matters. If so, when Mars enters Virgo on November 11, to stay an inordinate length of time, until July 3, 2012, you will have your chance to settle many things and make big changes. (Of course, it's always possible that Mars will bring arguments, and in your case, family squabbles, during that time, as Mars can inflame what it touches, but let's think good thoughts. Mars certainly helps you see what is to be done and get those things checked off your list.) Now let's turn to your career, which will also bring you good news. Get set to receive lots of attention on the Harvest Full Moon, September 12, or the dates plus or minus four days. That full moon will be in Pisces, 19 degrees, and is aptly named, for it will culminate months (or years) of consistent effort into one big, beautiful moment. This full moon will be in perfect angle to Pluto, and at the same time, Mercury will also be in perfect harmony to Pluto, which is significant, for Mercury is your ruler, so a good aspect to Mercury is worth more to you than most. Apparently, a top VIP has noticed you and is ready to single you out for praise and a possible promotion. If you are self-employed, you may get a new client now. Mars will be friendly to the full moon in Pisces on September 12, for Mars will be in Cancer at this point in the month, so you may be given a raise or nice fee as a result of what happens in this week. Allow a plus or minus four days. Pluto has been retrograde since last April but will go direct on September 16, and from then on, Pluto will help you to manage your money in more effective ways.
