摘要: Project Europe-China Grid InterNetworking (EC-GIN) will develop tailored network technology in dedicated support of Grid applications. These technical solutions will be supplemented with a secure and incentive-based Grid Services network traffic management system, which will balance the conflicting performance demand and the economic use of resources in the network and within the Grid. Technically, EC-GIN will make the Grid work, operate, and communicate better.

About the speaker:
Jin Wu received the B.Eng. degree in Computer Engineering from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 2000, and the Ph.D. degrees in Computer Networking from the University of Leeds, UK, in June 2004. His research interests include network resource management, performance evaluation, reliability analysis in Grid, and information system infrastructure. Dr. Wu has plenty of experiences in participating EU FP6 projects. Currently, he is a Research Fellow at University of Surrey, UK.
