Blum教授（Lehigh University，IEEEFellow）主持人：李勇副教授时间：2014年6月17日（周二）下午2：00地点：教一楼116摘要：Distributedestimation of an unknown deterministic parameter using a sensor network isstudied when using quantized data in the presence of Byzantine attacks. Severalsubsets of sensors are assumed to be tampered with by adversaries usingdifferent attacks. Under the control of adversaries, the compromised sensorstransmit fictitious data to the fusion center in order to undermine theestimation performance of the sensor network. We show that it is possible toasymptotically identify the attacked sensors and categorize them into differentgroups corresponding to different attacks, provided it is known that the set ofunattacked sensors is larger than any set of attacked sensors taken over by oneattack. For an important class of attacks, the data at the attacked sensors canbe ignored for optimum estimation, but in other cases this is shown to be nottrue. Time permitting, an interesting application of sensor networks for oceanwave energy generation will be reviewed. He was awarded an ONR YoungInvestigator Award and an NSF Research Initiation Award. His IEEE FellowCitation “for scientific contributions to detection, data fusion and signal processingwith multiple sensors” acknowledges contributions to the field of sensornetworking. Since 1991, he has been with the ECE Department at Lehigh Universityin Bethlehem, PA where he is currently a Professor and holds the Robert W.Wieseman Chaired Research Professorship. His research interests include signalprocessing for smart grid, communications, sensor networking, radar and sensorprocessing. His PhD and MSEE are from the University of Pennsylvania.
