POSITION OVERVIEW: The MSCI Technology team based in Beijing is seeking qualified candidates for an opportunity to work as a Performance QA intern on the Platform Performance Team. This position will present a unique opportunity to help design and operate a suite of tests used in validating the performance and stability of platform release candidates. The position will involve troubleshooting performance-related issues, identifying underlying problematic components, and communicating and working with other development teams to resolve. The team has a strong innovation technical atmosphere and has lots of opportunities to learn from other staffs, even in different disciplines. Students working toward CS, EE, MIS degrees who are interested in gaining experience in a corporate setting and who are interested in software development/testing as a career are encouraged to apply. We consider the internship as an important source of our regular full-time positions. RESPONSIBILITIES: o Monitor/create performance test suites that run within performance testing environment, and work closely with developer teams to identify issues and key areas for improvement and optimization o Develop automation tools, scripts for performance monitoring purposes o Investigate and apply new technology to our system o Aid developers in creating a variety of tools based on given specifications o Other duties as assigned o At least 4 days a week on site DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: o Currently pursuing a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related technical field o Good understanding in data structure and algorithm o Strong programming skills in Java and one script language(Groovy/Perl/Python/Ruby) o Good communication skills in English o Self-motivated and be able to work independently o Fast learner and interest in challenging projects A Good Plus if you know: ? Web related technology, such as JavaEE, Javascript, , XML ? Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL ?
