Responsibility o Work closely with cross functional teams to implement defined process to meet the quality goals o Analyze the quality metrics against goals and provide feedback to development teams on corrective actions o Oversee defect tracking robustness, drive the root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions o Work with cross functional teams to review and drive planning activities to incorporate effort relevant to implementation of quality improvement initiatives o Identifies problems or potential improvements, forms hypotheses, and suggests cost-effective alternative courses of action. o Analyze metrics, understand the risk of software delivery and provide recommendations to the organization o Review all the SDLC deliverables at milestones o Work with metrics team to deploy the fault prediction model and train the team on usage of fault prediction models o Design process improvement initiatives to enable optimized product delivery o Help institutionalize defined processes across the product development teams o Impart process, metrics, quality related training to various teams Qualification o 12-15 years experience in software development, including 8 years in quality assurance, release management o Extensive knowledge of software quality methods. Hands on experience in in deploying TL9000/SEI process models. o Prior experience in release quality manager role, extensive knowledge of metrics programs, software quality processes, hands on experience in driving quality improvement programs and statistical analysis skills are required.
