返回信息流recently i have setup a debian system and install darwin
streaming server and some other mpeg4 tools on it. although the
goal of this project is to setup a streaming server for mobiles
which the server is delivering 3gp files, but during the process
of the setup, i found out darwin is a very strong streaming
server which is perfect for streaming mpeg4 media files, and also
for free !(though it doesn't use GPL license, it uses apples's
license.)
all you need is a linux box, darwin source code (i recommend this
option, for there is no binary distribution of the latest news,
which is exactly i needed,you need to do some dirty code work
during the installation on the config files which are in xml format),
and mpeg4 creation and hinting tools, i recommend mpeg4ip and gpac,
although the compilation of these tools are a little boring, and need
modifying of some of the source codes.also, a building enviorment is
neccessary.
when i have more spare time, i will document this installation (the
installation is a horrible thing, since little documents can be found
out there, and most of them are from mailing list archieves). wish me
good luck that i will not forget the process that day ! :-)
