Supervisor’s Bio Jiangtao Wang is currently an Assistant Professor (tenured position) with School of Computing & Communications, Lancaster University (a TOP 10 UK university), UK. Previously, He was an assistant professor (tenure-track) with School of EECS, Peking University. His research interests include Mobile Crowd Sensing, Crowdsourcing, AI and machine learning. In recent years, the work for optimization in mobile crowd sensing system has led to several top journal/conference publications (e.g, IEEE TMC, IEEE Communications, IEEE COMPUTER, IEEE Wireless Communications, IEEE THMS, ACM CSCW, and so forth). Computer Science/Electric Engineering students who would like to apply for Lancaster university PhD scholarship (or other types of scholarships such as CSC scholarship) are welcome to apply. Requirements Top Master or PhD students in Computer Science/Electric Engineering. Strong research and project experience. Research background in one or more of the subareas: Data mining, machine learning, AI, mobile computing, and wireless sensing. Good at written and spoken English. Internships for Undergraduate or Graduate Students Undergraduate or graduate students in China are strongly welcome to join my group as interns. In particular, 3rd or 4th year undergraduate students in top universities in China are strongly welcome to do the final year project in the area of AI and mobile computing supervised by Dr. Jiangtao Wang.
