This special issue is focused on defining new problems and developing novel techniques for data management and network control issues in wireless and mobile networks. With the emergence of data-intensive wireless networks such as wireless sensor networks and data-centric mobile applications such as location-based services, the traditional boundaries between the disciplines of wireless networking and data management are blurring. This special issue provides a venue for researchers to present new ideas with impact on two communities –wireless networks and databases. Researchers and practitioners working in these areas are expected to take this opportunity to discuss and express their views on the current trends, challenges, and state of the art solutions addressing various issues in wireless networks. This special issue solicits papers from two main categories: (1) papers that consider the data collection, transmission, storage, publishing, and sharing in wireless networks broadly defined, e.g., MANET, satellite, cellular, vehicular, ad hoc, cognitive, as well as sensor networks, and (2) papers that use data and network analytics techniques to address network control problems in wireless networks. The list of topics includes, but not limited to, • Data analysis for wireless network traffic control • Addressing and location management • Capacity planning • Content distribution • Cross layer design and optimization • Implementation and experimental test-beds • Topology characterization and inference • Resource allocation and management • Traffic engineering and control • Clustering, coverage and connectivity • Data transport and management • Data gathering, fusion and dissemination • Security Control • Satellite Networking • Cellular Networking Submission Guidelines: Manuscripts are accepted for consideration if neither the article nor any of its contents has been or will be published or submitted elsewhere before appearing in the special issue. Please submit full papers as an e-mail attachment in PDF format to Dr. Wei Cheng at wcheng@gwmail.gwu.edu, with the subject –IJCN SI DMNC--. Manuscripts should be limited to 10, 000 words. The corresponding author must be identified. An undertaking signed by all the authors, (certifying originality of work and that the article has not been or will not be published elsewhere), must accompany the manuscript upon final submission. No more than 5 author names are listed for the manuscript. All submitted papers will be refereed in accordance with the usual criteria of IJCN. Detailed instruction of preparing the paper can be found at http://www.cscjournals.org/csc/authors.php#guideline. Important Dates: Manuscript due: October 15, 2010 First round of review: October 30, 2010 Acceptance/rejection notification: November 7, 2010 Final manuscript due: November 14, 2010 Tentative publication date: 4th Quarter of 2010 附件(34KB) IJCNSICFP.doc
