Job title: Software Engineer Location: Beijing, China The successful candidate will be part of a team developing protocol software for Spirent's industry leading 2G/3G/4G network simulation applications for mobile device testing. This includes the integration of hardware and software. The successful candidate will implement new products as well as enhancements to existing products and have leadership responsibilities. Product areas include systems and system components used for testing wireless devices (LTE, UMTS and CDMA) for compliance to several industry standards. The primary focus of the position is on the test specifications and the associated application software that controls the test equipment to manage the test procedure and test results. Major responsibilities: 1) Design and implementation of protocol software for LTE network emulation applications. 2) Design specification, implementation and testing of embedded and applications software for test instruments. 3) Development of state machine based or script based network protocol processing. 4) Development of Microsoft Windows based application software, PowerPC embedded software, or equivalent. 工作职责： 1. 开发思博伦公司的基于无线技术的定位软件。 2. 与产品经理对客户需求进行讨论，澄清，基于业界协议规范（3GPP， OMA等）进行系统设计。 3. 阅读3GPP的协议或者市场需求，并且能过根据协议要求，完成需求分析，设计，编码和测试。 4. 与多国第三方公司合作，管理需求计划追踪等。 5. 前沿新技术研究，为3GPP,OMA等标准委员会提供标准素材 6. 带领团队完成新功能新技术的开发工作。 7. 高度责任心，能够独立完成任务，能够在压力下寻求解决方案。 Job requirement: 1) BSEE/BSCE required. MSEE/MSCE desired. Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position in related technologies. 2) Technical and conversational English speaking and writing required. 3) Familiarity with LTE/UMTS/CDMA wireless communication technologies and a high aptitude for both physical layer and protocol layer details related to RF communication networks. In-depth knowledge of L1/L2 /L3 procedures and the utilization of them is highly desirable. 4) Experience with design verification testing of wireless terminals is desired; experience with script-based network simulators also desired. Knowledge of structured software design practices. Experience with FPGA design and VHDL is desired. 5) Microsoft .NET or PowerPC based WindRiver VxWorks experience desirable.Data network protocols (TCP/UDP/SIP) experience desirable. 6) Motivated, self-starter who likes challenging work. Possess strong problem solving skills and team-oriented approach. 7) Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Good written and verbal communication skills are also needed in this position.
