返回信息流Today I saw a passage that said the chinese word "农民" in english should be
called as farmer, not peasant, beacause the latter is known as chinglish. But
I don't think so. In fact, in many chinese people's mind, with tradition, 农
民 means peasant but farmer absolutly(there isn't any discrimination about 农
民朋友). A farmer is the owner of his farm but a 农民 wasn't in traditional
china. So peasant is not chinglish.

我觉得peasant比较合适。。国内的农民和国外所说的farmer还是有点区别的吧

I agree.The difference between farmer and peasant is whether you own land,not chinglish or english
