我校111学科创新引智基地专家学术报告通知报告题目：Data Imbalance: When It Becomes a "Pain" and How to "Ease" It（数据失衡：产生的原因及对策）主讲人：Professor Charles Ling (Director, Data Mining and E-Business Lab, Depar tment of Computer Science, University of Western Ontario, Canada) 时间：2009年6月8日（星期一）下午13:30-15:00 地点：教三楼136报告厅内容：Data imbalance occurs in almost all data mining and machine learning appl ications. In this talk I will first discuss and survey different situations whe re data imbalance becomes a serious problem ("pain"). Various methods have been proposed, but what are the capacity and limitations of various learning algori thms? We use PAC-learning to study these issues.
