For Computer Scientists and related engineering and social science disciplines, we favor current PhD students, but will also consider strong Masters degree candidates. 2. Looking specifically for expertise in the following research areas (but always open to consider others): Human-Computer Interaction in general, mobile computing, hardware, haptics, machine learning, computer vision, robotics, etc. 3. For Designers, looking for independent undergraduate or Masters students with strong background and portfolio. 4. Reasonably proficient in English, bonus if proficient in Mandarin too. 软件分析组 Position: Full-time Intern Group: Software Analytics Quantity: 4 Work Location: Beijing Group Overview Employing pattern recognition, machine learning, and information visualization technologies, the Software Analytics Group at Microsoft Research Asia strives to research and develop next generation data analysis and exploration tools in order to obtain insightful and actionable information for ultra-large data-driven software and services quality and development productivity improvement. The Innovation Engineering team supports these technology transfers, and fosters new product incubation, by bringing together software design engineers, user experience experts, program managers, business strategists and others to help turn ideas into reality. Roles & Responsibilities The interns will be working in a development role withWeipeng Liu, Mu Li, andMatt Scotton a cutting-edge linguistic software application that spans natural language processing and beautiful client-side user experiences. The focus of the internship is on modern C++ software programming in developing the Windows(R) client, which may include advanced user interface development and / or high performance text processing engine development.
