Video search team in Bing multimedia group is accountable for all the video products in Microsoft, including Bing video search, and video feeds in Edge browser, Windows, Bing, as well as related-videos that empower all the contents in web-experiences organization, Bing web search results, news feeds, shopping products. Video product is one shinning rapidly growing product in Microsoft, enabled in 100+ markets in the world, we are leveraging state-of-the-art LLM techniques to build modern and future video search products! We are hiring talented, highly motivated applied scientists with expertise in search engine, and recommendation system, deep learning, natural language processing, information retrieval, computer vision, reinforcement learning, data mining, and large-scale distributed computation. Responsibilities You will be self-driven and accountable for search engine, recommendation system problems, collaborating with partners within the team or distributed globally, leveraging the state-of-the-art models and strategies to improve our metric driven targets. as a member of our team you will design, develop, evaluate & deploy machine learning models, as well as corresponding metrics/measurements, online & offline pipelines, and integrate into production runtimes. You need to closely work together with our top machine learning scientists/researchers nearby and remotely, build our core machine learning horsepower, contribute to billion scale machine learning systems, and improve our video products(including video search, video feeds, related videos, etc.) in Microsoft Bing & Windows & Edge, etc... Qualifications tracking records of delivering strong impacts in search engine, recommendation system, it’s a plus to have strong experiences in large scale search engine products; - familiar with common search stack, recommendation algorithms, query, user & content understanding, recall/ranking/exploration models; - familiar with the roadmaps/strategies to grow search, feeds quality, engagements/users, monetization; - familiar with e2e machine learning development cycle, from model measurements / training/ evaluation, to optimization/deployment, etc.; - Experiences in one of these domains: search engine, recommendation systems, computer vision, deep-learning, natural language processing; - Experiences in one of these training frameworks: Pytorch, Tensorflow, etc., and LLM/ChatGPT is a plus; - Experiences in one of these programming languages: Python, C++, C#, etc.; - Experiences in big data mining, familiar with Hadoop/Spark is a plus; - Solid Communication/Collaboration skills to work with team members across global; - MS/PhD degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
