学术讲座通知应信息与通信工程学院林家儒教授的邀请，上海交通大学陈文教授将于7月6日上午来北邮作前沿科技讲座, 欢迎有兴趣的老师和同学踊跃参加。题目：Wireless Cooperative Network Coding（无线协作网络编码）主讲人：Wen Chen, Department of Electronic Engineering, 上海交通大学时间：2009年7月6日（星期一）上午10:00-12:00 地点：教三楼8层811会议室 Abstract: In this talk, I will introduce the wireless cooperative multicast systems with network coding. Specifically, I will talk about the diversity-multiplexing tradeoff (DMT) and thoughput-reliability tradeoff (TRT) for multicast systems with multiple sources, mulitple destinations and multiple relays. I will also talk about the signal processing such as power allocation and precoding for the multicast system with network coding, so as to improve the system performance. I will then introduce the power allocation for cooperative systems with partial channel state information (CSI). The optimization for relay systems, the cognitive cooperative systems, PAPR reduction for OFDM signals will be also touched in this talk. Bio:Wen Chen received the BS and MS from Wuhan University in 1990 and 1993 respectively, and received the PhD from University of Electro-Communications, Tokyo, Japan in 1999. He was a researcher of Japan Society for the Promotion of Sciences (JSPS) from 1999 through 2001. Then he joined University of Alberta, Canada, starting as a post-doctoral fellow in Information Research Lab and continuing as a research associate in Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Since 2006, he has been a full professor in Department of Electronic Engineering, Shanghai Jiaotong University, China, where he is also the director of Institute for Signal Processing and Systems. Dr. Chen was awarded the Ariyama Memorial Research Prize in 1997, the PIMS Post-Doctoral Fellowship in 2001. He received the honors of "New Century Excellent Young Researcher in China" in 2006 and "the Pujiang Excellent Investigator in Shanghai" in 2007. He is elected the vice general secretary of Shanghai Institute of Electronics in 2008. He is in the editorial board of the International Journal of Wireless Communications and Networking, and serves Journal of Communications and Journal of Computers as guest editors. He is the Technical Program Committee chair for IEEE-ICCSC2008, the General Conference Chair for IEEE-ICIS2009. He has published more than 50 papers in IEEE and IEICE journals and conferences.
