“111基地”海外学术骨干讲座通知

学术讲座通知应北京邮电大学副校长、阿尔费罗夫中俄联合实验室中方执行主任任晓敏教授邀请，阿尔费罗夫中俄联合实验室俄方执行主任Vladimir G. Dubrovskii教授（俄罗斯圣彼得堡科学院大学理论物理系主任、纳米技术中心副主任）以及该中俄联合实验室领衔教授（Leading Professors）Alexy E. Zhukov院士（俄罗斯圣彼得堡科学院大学副校长）和Victor M.Ustinov院士（俄罗斯科学院约飞物理技术研究所副所长）将于近期到访北邮，开展学术交流与合作研究。上述三位俄罗斯科学家均为我校“通信与网络核心技术”学科创新引智基地（简称“111基地”）海外学术骨干。访问期间，Ustinov院士和Zhukov院士将为我校师生作精彩学术报告。讲座题目一：Chip-to-chip free space optical interconnects based onvertical cavity surface emitting lasers主讲人：Victor M. Ustinov 院士主持人：任晓敏教授时间：2014年4月14日（周二）上午10:00-11:00地点：校办501会议室讲座内容简介：Vertical cavity surface emitting lasers (VCSELs) are currently consideredas key components for low-cost high speed local- and storage-area network(LAN/SAN) data communication systems, optical sensors and optical spectroscopy systems due to compact size, low threshold and operation current, symmetrical shape and low divergence of the optical beam, high temperature stability, etc.In the present talk we discuss current status and future prospects of VCSEL applications for reconfigurable card-to-card and chip-to-chip free space optical interconnects. We show possible approaches for optical interconnects and free space chip-to-chip optical communications using VCSEL arrays.Experimental results obtained in the Ioffe institute on high speed VCSELs and VCSEL arrays are also shown. 讲座题目二：Asymmetricbarriers and their application in diode lasers主讲人：Alexy E.
