We’re pleased to inform you that Hao Hu, a postdoc researcher from DTU Fotonik (the Department of Photonics Engineering), will come to visit our laboratory (April 8th) at 16:00 in room 314.
The content of this lecture is focused on ultra-high speed optical communication systems and all-optical signal processing techniques.

Research Area:
Terabit Ethernet including generation, transmission, synchronization, switching, processing and detection of 1 Tb/s or beyond Ethernet data signal; Ultra-high speed optical signal processing on various platforms including silicon waveguide, highly nonlinear fiber, chalcognide waveguide, periodically poled lithium niobate and semicondutor optical amplifier.
Research achievements:
o First demonstration of 1.28 Tb/s Nyquist OTDM transmission system over 100km. (record speed of Nyquist OTDM signal and record transmission distance)
o First demonstration of 1.28 Tb/s all-optical wavelength conversion (record speed of optical signal processing up to date).
o First demonstration of 640 Gb/s optical signal processing on a chip.
o First demonstration of 1.28 TBaud data signal error-free transmission.
o First demonstration of polarization insensitive 640 Gb/s demultiplexing.
o First Demonstration of synchronization, retiming, format converting and time-division multiplexing of 10 G Ethernet packet to Terabit Ethernet.
o First demonstration of 1.28 Tb/s optical sampling on a chip (collaborated with H. Ji of DTU Fotonik).
o First demonstration of single channel 5.1 Tbit/s data signal generation and detection with error-free performance (collaborated with H.C.H. Mulvad, M. Galili and L.K. Oxenl?we of DTU Fotonik).
o First demonstration of long-haul transmission (480 km) of single channel 1 Tb/s signal
