[招聘] Research Staff Member in 60-GHz WLAN/WPAN (IEEE 802.11ad, IEEE 802.15.3c, WiGig, WirelessHD, ECMA TC48) * Job Title: Research Staff Member in 60-GHz WLAN/WPAN (IEEE 802.11ad, IEEE 802.15.3c, WiGig, WirelessHD, ECMA TC48) * Company & Location: NEC Laboratories China Beijing, China * Reporting Line: Report to the Department Head of Wireless Communications * Responsibilities: (1) Conduct R&D in 60-GHz WLAN/WPAN areas (especially 802.11ad, 802.15.3c, WiGig, WirelessHD, ECMA TC48) Specific topics may include RF beamforming, OFDM, SC-FDE, channel coding (LDPC, Reed-Solomon, convolutional, Turbo coding), modeling of RF impairments (non-linear PA, phase noise, carrier frequency offset), MAC (scheduling), radio resource control, in 60-GHz WLAN/WPAN areas. (2) Contribute to standardization (international & domestic) Candidates are expected to make technical contributions to the international standardization, e.g., IEEE, and domestic standardization in China. (3) Apply for IPR and publish research paper Candidates are expected to apply for international or domestic patents, publish research papers in prestigious conferences and journals. * Requirements: (1) Ph.D. or M.S. degree in EE (electrical engineering), CS (computer science) or related areas Candidates with 3~5 years of working experience in industry are particularly encouraged to apply for this position. (2) Solid background in wireless communications & networking Solid background in wireless communications and networking is required. Specifically, expertise in one or more of the following areas: IEEE 802.11ad, IEEE 802.15.3c, WiGig, WirelessHD, ECMA TC48, is preferred.
