This talk presents a unified algorithm that solves the calibration problem for various calibration methodologies. The algorithm is based screw theory and uses gradient descent optimization on the Euclidean group. 此讲座为前沿课题讲座，欢迎全校师生踊跃参加。 校学术委员会 自动化学院 2014年6月16日 主讲人简介：Dr. Chirikjian is currently a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the John Hopkins University where he served as the department chair between 2004-2007. He received his PhD from California Institute of Technology in 1992. Prof. Chirikjian received numerous awards including NSF Young Investigator Award and Presidential Faculty Fellow which is the highest honor for young scientists in US. He is also the recipient of 2014 ASME Mechanism and Robotics award. He is currently a fellow of IEEE and ASME. His research interests focus on kinematics of hyer-redundant robots, conformational statistics of biological macromolecules.
