Due to the lack of participants, it is a pity to postpone it to next Sunday evening. Anyone who is willing to join, please prepare and put a message following this post.
Notes before participating:
-Organized by Me2004 and all rights of the organization is reserved
-Volunteer to participate
-No prize, no charge
-English only
-GM reserves all the rights of the material we will use. Except research and practice, we will not harm any copyright of GM or GM 2007 annual report.
Participants:
-Interested in management consulting
-Excellent oral business English
-Leadership & Teamwork
-Able to spend enough time for preparation
-at least 4 participants required, maximum 8 participants, others will be volunteer audience
-Put your information within this post and me2004 will inform the top 8 senders with the interview place.
Case and Interview Process (Mock Consulting Bidding Conference):
-Background:
GM is experiencing a sharply reduction of profit and hopes some consulting firms could propose feasible solution to rescue. 2 firms are invited to join the bidding conference. Participants are divided into 2 firms. Each firm has 2 project teams.
-Process:
Preparation: download the attache GM 2007 annual report and analyze it by yourself
Team Discussion (20 mins): each team should discuss and form a proposal.
Firm Discussion (15 mins): each firm(2 teams involved) should discuss and form a proposal.
Bidding Conference (1 hour): each firm has to present its proposal on the blackboard in 15 mins and answered the questions from GM in 10 mins, the questions from rival firm in 5 mins.
Requirement:
Any points of view are welcome to propose a consulting idea. But the facts MUST BE from the GM 2007 annual report.
-Possible evaluation on each other(it depends on time):
Analysis skills
Leadership & teamwork
Used questions: if you are the boss of the consulting firm, which employee in your firm and your rival firm will you fire? which employee will you recruit? why?

I recieve the meesage when I just came back from the suburb. So glad to see the launch of the group and I will be there on time.
I will make the preparation and be ready to be a participant. But If someone else has more interest, just consider them prior to me.
