Job Description:
We're looking for an innovative performance engineer to join our performance team and work together with us to ensure that Information Server is fast and scalable for our customers, able to handle a variety of users and loads.
Responsibilities:
· Work closely with Product Management, Architect and Development teams to define areas for performance attack, propose performance test plan/scenarios, and create use cases for capacity planning
· Design and implement benchmarks to generate metrics giving guidance on system characteristics
· Perform performance/scalability testing
· Evangelize Information Server in the market and provide active support to resolve customer problems(especially performance issues)
Requirements:
· 3+ years industry experience
· Ability to find root cause of performance bottlenecks
· Experience in tackling problems of load, scale, and optimization of complex large-scale deployments
· Skilled in scripting languages and test automation
· Skilled in a high level object-oriented language like C++/C# or Java
· Equal comfort in Microsoft and Unix/Linux environments in terms of both tools and systems administration
· Experience in Big data technologies like Hadoop/Spark is a plus
Education:
· Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, or equivalent
