I will then present an overview of new physics brought about from heterostructures, material families and fabrication technology, and novel electronic and optoelectronic heterostructure devices. 此报告为前沿讲座，欢迎全校师生踊跃参加。校学术委员会光通信与光电子研究院 2008年12月8日 Curriculum Vitae, Shumin Wang Shumin Wang received the BSc and MSc from Department of Physics, Fudan University, Shanghai, China, in 1985 and 1988, respectively, and PhD from Department of Physics, Gothenburg University, Gothenburg, Sweden, in 1994. He has been working at Chalmers University of Technology after his PhD study and was promoted to Associate Professor in 1999 and Professor in 2008. His scientific backgrounds cover the epitaxial growth and physics of low dimensional semiconductor heterostructures and devices. He has published over 200 refereed international journal and conference papers and given 12 invited talks. He is a senior member of IEEE Society and a member of SPIE Society.
