Elite Hedge Fund is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer to join their growing research team based in New York City.
PRIOR FINANCIAL EXPERIENCE IS NOT REQUIRED.
THE ROLE:
In this role you will assess different technologies and their applications, develop new hardware platforms, and implement trading mechanisms. In addition to building tools to monitor and analyze system performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and prototyping and experimenting with performance optimizations, you will develop, optimize, and strengthen the performance-critical component of the system.
You will also face a wide array of technical challenges relevant to finance, including high frequency trading problems and optimization of performance-critical code.
REQUIRED:
o Experience analyzing performance requirements and designing systems handling very large volumes of real-time data at extremely low latencies is required
o Development experience with FPGAs (Verilog / VHDL, functional verification and static timing closure), Experience at coding software in a low level language such as C/C++
o Network programming knowledge
o Knowledge of operating system primitives
o Memory management knowledge
o Solid understanding of multi-threaded and lock-free programming
o Experience in building low-latency applications
