Software Senior Engineer - Test Req ID: R85348 Location: Chengdu This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and self-driven engineer within Dell-EMC Storage Product Engineering team. The candidate should have a technical background, a strong understanding of how things work and a proven history of faster, and deeper testing through automation. They must be well organized, have excellent communication skills and have a proven track record for improving process. Key Responsibilities * Monitor, maintain, recover and harden the test environment * Execute tests, triage failures, file bugs with support materials and assist with resolution of defects * Maintain, design, develop and enhance test scripts * Provide and maintain detailed status reporting on a regular cadence and as needed by the business * Work with other team members in China and US to ensure seamless automated test coverage * Represent the Quality Engineering team at various meetings * Document policies, processes and procedures for test suites management and triage * Participate in reviews of product features requirements, functional specs and design documents * Identify and ensure comprehensive and resource-effective implementation of the test strategy * Identify test gaps and drive their implementation by working closely with architect and developers * Mentor team members on procedures, tests and product features * Proactively identify problems and propose solutions Desired Skills & Experience * Well organized & have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities * Understanding of software development lifecycle, organizational processes and procedures, and disciplines of project management. * Experience with manual testing and execution of automated test suites as well as analyzing test results to root cause failures * Understanding of common operating systems (e.g. Linux, Windows) * Good knowledge of virtualization (VMWare) * Good knowledge of Block/File level storage and experience in storage solutions (e.g. NAS, SAN, iSCSI and FC) * Good knowledge of Perl/Python, basic knowledge of Java/C++ * Experience with test automation and continuous integration tool (e.g. Jenkins) * Experience with at least one issue tracking system (e.g. Remedy, Jira) * Experience with at least one test management system (e.g. HPQC) Software Senior Engineer Req ID: R83326 Location: Chengdu The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Desirable Requirements * Strong knowledge or experience in Storage, Cloud, Virtualization * Good command at Linux/windows system administration * Good command at test automation, test framework development * Experience of test lead, excellent communication and management skills Software Engineer Req ID: R73721 Location: Chengdu Key Responsibilities * Design and develop embedded diagnostics, automation software of the project SW stack under limited guidance for a moderate range of complex software engineering problems. * Apply software engineering methods, execute development processes, conduct feature verification to achieve functionality and performance criteria of SW modules. * Collaborate with global team on projects and features delivery in efficient and agile model. * Write high level design specs, unit test and integration test plans. * Technical ownership of significant code modules, including design, maintenance and documentation.
