Beijing, China, 4 - 7 August, 2014
OUR OBJECTIVES IN THE WORKSHOP ARE THE FOLLOWING:
o Identify the various aspects of web context collection, inference, identification, management,
prediction and recommendation;
o Review the state of the art of these algorithms and novel applications;
o Gather researchers and practitioners in sharing their experiences on context computing
o Identify further research challenges and topics needed to be addressed on national and
international level;
o How to bridge the gap between context research in academia and industry, and transition the
research from lab to consumer applications (ie. how industry can provide the big data and the
data infrastructure, whereas academia provides the algorithms and the research)
o Recommend strategies where short-term commercial and consumer values may reasonably
be expected;
o Create a research framework, agenda and social network for web context for further collaboration
after the workshop

- Web context aggregation and web context segmentation
- Web context management and inference
- Web context fusion

- Web context recommendation
- Context-aware personalized smart applications and services, location based services, etc.
