The Red Hat Engineering team is looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join us in Xian, China. In this role, you will work with a team of talented Red Hat Engineers and the open source community and develop functions based on community requirements. Open Cluster Management is an open source project jointly sponsored by Red Hat led, Ant Group, and Alibaba Cloud, and it is a high value project and strategic solution in Red Hat and an emerging star in the community for the hybrid cloud industry. Primary Job Responsibilities
Work with a team of bright talent in Red Hat and open source community
Develop functions based on requirements from community
Investigate and apply the latest technologies to help build up observability and monitoring functionalities for the Open Container Manager system
Play with public cloud platforms
You can expect to gain:
A good start on the journey in open source world
Gain experience using Github
Good practice for Container and Kubernetes technologies
Understanding of hybrid cloud concepts and use scenarios
Required Skills
Enthusiastic about the latest technologies around cloud, containers, and microservices and want to contribute to the community through innovation and collaboration
Good English and communication skills
Basic knowledge about Linux and have some experience
Basic knowledge about containers and Kubernetes
Knowledge and some experience in a programming language (Golang, etc.)
