A little bit about myself; I’m currently located in London, and I am CELTA qualified English teacher, with additional training from the British council to teach IELTS, and training from Cambridge Assessment English and Box Hill Institute to teach OET. I’ve assisted over 50 students with exam prep for both the TOEFL and IELTS exams, many of whom had failed on previous attempts. I work with students, helping them understand the marking rubric so that the understood clearly what they needed to do. In addition, I’ve taught students at Microsoft, Google and NASA, provide ESP lessons tailored to their field. I build tailor-made lessons for each individual student so that they can get the best out of them. I help students in the following ways: o Identifying student’s purpose for learning English, for example, work purposes or education, and assisting them to achieve their intended goal as best as possible. o Pinpointing areas of specific difficulty they have with the English language or the IELTS exam and provide practical ways to overcome them. o Helping students understand what is required of them in the IELTS exam and what examiners are looking for. o Ensuring students are able to have a well rounded ability to use the English language, through a balance of reading, writing, speaking and listening activities.
