主题报告专家介绍 Shuo-Yen Robert Li, Chinese University of Hong Kong Professor Li is the pioneer in Algebraic Switching Theory with much of his original findings published through the book Algebraic Switching Theory and Broadband Applications, Academic Press, 2001. He is also a cofounder of Network Coding Theory with the paper “Linear Network Coding” by Li-Yeung-Cai winning the 2005 IEEE Information Theory Society Paper Award. He holds 31 US patents and pending patents. His journal publications appear in a spectrum of fields, including Algorithms, Applied Algebra, Applied Topology, Communications, Commutative Algebra, Computers, Discrete Mathematics, Game Theory, Information Theory, Micro Systems, Probability, Statistics, Stochastic Control, and System Science. Twice he delivered keynote speeches at international conferences. In 2001, he was a visiting assistant professor in the Department of Information Engineering at the same university. From February 2002 to June 2004, he was a Post-doctoral Fellow at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto. His research interests are in network coding theory, resource allocations, cross-layer network designs, wireless and optical communications, and information theory. Terence received the Croucher Foundation Fellowship and Sir Edward Youde Fellowship in 2002 and 2000 respectively.
