Vieira (葡萄牙阿威罗大学) 时间:2010年7月5日(星期一)上午9:30 地点:校办公楼501报告厅 讲座内容简介: Topics in sampling: historical, mathematical and engineering:This is a three part talk, each part lasting for 10 to 15 minutes. It covers different topics in the hope of making it interesting to mathematicians and engineers. This is collaborative research and the different co-authors (nine authors from several countries) are acknowledged separately. Part 1 is historical: it discusses the history of sampling and an effort for implementing sampling in the 1930s. Part 2 is mathematical an addresses sampling, its role in mathematical analysis and the nature and role of equivalence groupings built around sampling theorems. Part 3 briefly describes integrate-and-fire converters, their potential and some of the open problems that they pose. Compressed Sensing and Applications:Compressed Sensing or Compressive Sampling (CS) is a sampling strategy that uses linear combinations of a signal combined with an optimization process to recover the original signal. Instead of taking advantage of the bandlimitedness it takes advantage of its compressibility. In this talk we introduce the basic notions of CS and the algorithms to reconstruct the original signal from the linear combinations.
