* Reporting Line:
Report to the Manager of Wireless Research
* Responsibilities:
(1) Lead a group / project on R&D in 60-GHz WLAN / WPAN
Specific topics include RF beamforming, OFDM, SC-FDE,
channel coding (LDPC, Reed-Solomon, convolutional, Turbo coding),
modeling of RF impairments (non-linear PA, phase noise, carrier frequency offset),
MAC (scheduling), radio resource control, in 60-GHz WLAN/WPAN areas.
(2) Contribute to standardization (international & domestic)
To make technical contributions to the international standardization,
e.g., IEEE, and domestic standardization in China.
(3) Apply for IPR and publish research paper
To apply for international or domestic patents, and
publish research papers in prestigious conferences and journals.
* Requirements:
(1) Ph.D. or M.Sc. degree in EE (electrical engineering), CS (computer science) or related areas
Candidates with 5+ years of working experience in industry
are particularly encouraged to apply for this position.
(2) Solid background in wireless communications & networking
Solid background in wireless communications and networking is required.
Specifically, expertise in one or more of the following areas:
IEEE 802.11ad, IEEE 802.15.3c, WiGig, WirelessHD, ECMA TC48, is preferred.
(3) Creative & Self-motivated
(4) Good records of publication, patents & contributions to international standardization
(5) Excellent programming skills in C/C++, Matlab or OPNET
(6) Good understanding of SLS (system level simulation) and LLS (link level simulation)
(7) Fluency in English is a must
Working language is English.
