BSP Software Engineer The Role: As a BSP Software Engineer, you will take part in the implementation of a highly optimized BSP for Android-based devices. You will work closely with the hardware, ODM, and QA teams to take the product from concept to customer release and ensure the highest level of quality for your deliverables. Basic Qualifications: o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, EE or similar technical field o 4 to 10 years of hands-on software development o 2 years of current experience developing at Linux kernel and drivers level o In-depth expertise working with Linux kernel and drivers on a wide diversity of peripherals typically found in consumer electronics product o Hand-on knowledge in one or more specific technical areas: boot loader, memory, eMMC, USB, audio, display, file systems, performance, security, wireless, etc. o Understand how Android integrates with the kernel o Strong coding skills in C/C++ o Can work at ARM Assembly level o Failure analysis and debugging skills o Understanding of embedded development constraints Diagnostics Software Engineer The Role: The Diagnostics Software Engineer will be a member of the product validation team with responsibilities for the test and validation of various sub-systems of integrated digital products. This will require close cooperation with the design and factory teams. You will work at the integrated circuit and product systems level. In this role, you will: o Research into new test/validation technologies/methodologies o Work with design teams and factories to develop validation plans o Develop automation frameworks and test tools o Write scripts to automate tests o Develop firmware/scripts/applications to test the hardware o Provide functional verification of electrical subsystems o Work with design team to debug issues o Report validation status Basic Qualifications: o Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, related filed or equivalent experience o 6 to 10 years overall experience in validation test o Proficient with scripting language e.g. Perl, Python, shell. o Proficient in programming languages C/C++. o Understanding of EE fundamentals. o Experience in embedded software development. o Experience developing in Linux environment with good understanding of the Linux kernel. o Ability to programmatically test different sub-systems of product. o Experience in failure analysis and troubleshooting skills in a laboratory environment.
