Dr. Chenang Liu with the School of Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) at Oklahoma State University is seeking self-motivated Ph.D. students starting from Fall 2022/Spring 2023. The prospective students will receive full financial support and tuition waiver as research assistant or teaching assistant.
Dr. Liu joined the Oklahoma State University as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2019. He has established a Smart Technology and Analytics Research (STARs) Laboratory (https://stars-laboratory.github.io/). This lab has been funded by National Science Foundation (NSF) and National Institute of Health (NIH). The research areas in STARs Lab are focused on advanced data analytics and modeling for manufacturing/healthcare/service systems, which includes but not limited to:
o Advanced sensing and data analytics for smart & connected systems
o Statistical/data-driven analysis for real-time quality monitoring and control
o Machine learning/artificial intelligence and mathematical modeling for manufacturing, healthcare, and service applications
Candidates are expected to have strong motivation and interests in research. Candidates with bachelor’s or master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, industrial engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or other engineering majors are encouraged to apply.
