[The Lost Symbol]

Recently, I am dedicated in reading a novel named [The Lost Symbol], written by a famous American writer DAN Brown in 2009. The author also wrote many famous novels, among which one has been filmed and caused a huge debate in religious area, the name is [The DA VINCI Code]. The novel narrates a story lasting 12 hours in Washington DC, and the hero, Langdon, decoded a secret code from a small pyramid and its capstone. As each novel of DAN Brown involves religious groups and some kind of underground mystery organizations/societies, this novel does not make any exception. It concerns a brotherhood society, named Freemasonry. In Freemasonry, the secrets are handed out to members to a certain degree based on their grades, and the high level is 33rd. And another key person named Peter Soloman was entitled to this level. Besides, other characters were also present in the story, including A CIA head officer Sato, Police Chief XX, Peter's younger sister Katherine, villain Mal'akh who had kidnapper Peter etc. The story began with Langdon being cheated to carry a sealed cube, which Peter had asked for safekeeping years ago, to the United States Capitol, where he found a cutted right hand of his intimate friend Peter Solomon and met Sato.Then the investigation was under the command of Sato. They headed to the subbasement of the Capitol and broke into a secret room dedicatedly reserved for Peter. The room turned out to be a Masonic Altar containing weird items from the viewpoint of Langdon and Sato. With the help of candle light, Langdon found a small stone pyramid without a capstone. After Sato learned the Langdon carried a capstone in his bag, she thought Langdon obstructed the investigation, and another Mason got Langdon out of the control of Sato when Sato was about to detain Langdon....[TO BE CONTINUED] This is what I have read from the book as yet... I personally think it's worth reading....

I'm ashamed to say I haven.t been able to make up my mind to focus on one English book and read it through...ever......
